Skyloov, a UAE-based property portal, has launched a new feature allowing property owners to directly list their properties for sale or rent, bypassing traditional real estate agents. This aims to address the common frustration of homeowners receiving excessive unsolicited outreach after listing their homes. The platform gives owners control over the process, connecting them only with vetted professionals.
Once a listing is created, Skyloov verifies its accuracy and then matches it with licensed and verified real estate agencies registered on the platform. This approach aims to provide a controlled, transparent, and professional experience for both sellers and potential buyers.
The platform's launch addresses a significant issue in the UAE property market, where nearly 70% of homeowners report receiving unwanted calls after advertising their properties online. This is particularly relevant given the increased activity in both off-plan and ready-home sales, leading to more intense outreach efforts from sales agents.
By offering a direct listing option, Skyloov seeks to alleviate the burden of dealing with unsolicited calls and potentially save on brokerage commissions, which typically range around 2% in the secondary market and can be higher for luxury properties.
