Meraas has revealed an expanded residential masterplan for Dubai Design District (d3), encompassing 18 million square feet and featuring design-led homes, canal-front living, and green spaces. This expansion aims to solidify Dubai's position as a global hub for design, culture, and innovation, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. The project seeks to attract creative professionals, investors, and families seeking a vibrant, walkable community.
The masterplan introduces a new waterfront neighborhood with a "Design Line," a pedestrian-focused spine connecting the district, promoting walkability and human-centric living. The development will incorporate cultural spaces, public green areas, and sustainable practices, targeting LEED Silver certification. The project is structured around five distinct areas, including canal-front residences, an urban core with retail and dining, a cultural quarter, a wellness-focused residential zone, and a creative hub.
Recent residential launches in d3 have seen strong demand, with projects like Atelis and The Edit experiencing successful sales. While specific prices for the new homes haven't been released, current trends suggest a range from Dh1.87 million to Dh34 million+, depending on the unit size and location. The enhanced masterplan aims to make d3 one of Dubai’s most desirable and globally relevant neighborhoods, reinforcing Dubai's appeal for long-term investment and talent.
