Dubai is launching a new real estate-focused exhibition and trade event called "Rise," spearheaded by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). This event aims to be a comprehensive hub for city planners, infrastructure innovators, and real estate professionals, extending its scope beyond typical developer-focused events. The DWTC, known for organizing major events like Gitex and Gulfood, is responding to the real estate sector's pivotal role in Dubai's economy and the upcoming opening of the Dubai Exhibition Centre in 2026.

The expansion with the Dubai Exhibition Centre (part of Expo City) is driven by the need to accommodate the growth of key events. The DWTC conducted studies with industry players to determine how they plan to grow in the next 3-5 years. Major events like Arab Health, Gulfood, and Gitex will be hosted at the new exhibition centre.

In 2024, Dubai's exhibitions sector generated a substantial Dh22.35 billion in economic output from 100 large-scale events, attracting over 2 million visitors, with nearly a million coming from overseas. This resulted in Dh13.04 billion being added to Dubai's GDP. These events also significantly contributed to job creation, generating 85,533 jobs across the MICE and related sectors.

The DWTC aims to create opportunities for event spin-offs and co-location possibilities, such as hosting Arab Health and Medlab simultaneously at different venues. This strategy aims to boost the city's ability to host international conferences.
