DMCC has unveiled "The Plaza," a 21,000-square-meter event space in Uptown Dubai, designed to host up to 4,000 people for corporate events, concerts, and public gatherings. This central hub connects Uptown Tower with surrounding commercial and residential areas, solidifying its role as a key element of the masterplan. The Plaza features integrated staging, lighting, and digital display infrastructure for year-round programming, aiming to attract international conferences and industry events in trade, finance, and technology.

The Plaza's opening marks a significant step in Uptown Dubai's development, transforming the district into a destination that fosters business, culture, and shared experiences. Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, emphasized the space's role in activating the district and supporting Dubai's vision as a leading global city. The project aligns with a broader trend in Dubai's district-scale developments, prioritizing public spaces to drive engagement and support business ecosystems.

The launch coincides with the next phase of Uptown Dubai's expansion, which includes two commercial towers currently under construction, adding 62,000 square meters of Grade A office and retail space. Upon completion, the district will offer a total gross floor area of 538,000 square meters, including 232,000 square meters of commercial offices, solidifying its position as a major business hub. This strategy reflects developers' focus on large-scale public spaces as economic drivers, enhancing tenant retention, visitor traffic, and district identity.
