Sobha Realty has launched Sobha City, a 38 million square foot residential development in Abu Dhabi's Al Bahiya, marking its first large-scale project in the capital. This expansion follows the developer's successful ventures in Dubai and Umm Al Quwain, responding to the consistent demand for residential properties in Abu Dhabi. The project is strategically located along the E10 and E12 corridors, offering convenient access to Zayed International Airport and Yas Island.
Sobha City is designed as a low-density community, incorporating residential, retail, and leisure components. The development will be phased, with the initial phase covering approximately 8 million square feet. The master plan emphasizes open spaces and connectivity, with around 60% of the area dedicated to green and landscaped areas. Plans include over 50,000 trees, shaded walkways, and an 18-kilometer loop for walking and cycling, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
The community will feature a two-kilometer waterfront promenade and marina, alongside a mix of residential options, including apartments, villas, and larger homes. It will also include essential amenities such as schools, healthcare facilities, mosques, and retail spaces, creating a self-contained environment. Sobha Realty will utilize its in-house construction model, ensuring quality control throughout the design, engineering, and building processes.
This project aligns with Abu Dhabi's ongoing efforts to develop integrated communities that combine housing, services, and green spaces. Sobha City aims to provide a calm, enduring, and future-ready living environment, reflecting Sobha Realty's confidence in the emirate's long-term growth and its commitment to creating communities that cater to family-oriented lifestyles.
