Oman relaunches its Golden Visa program, focusing on attracting entrepreneurs and streamlining business processes. The program, which has been in place since 2021, aims to make Oman a compelling destination for investors and business owners seeking long-term residency. A key highlight is the revamped "Invest Oman" platform, enabling entrepreneurs to digitally execute commercial registrations, particularly for sole proprietorships and single-owner companies.

The Golden Visa offers 5- and 10-year residency options, with investment thresholds remaining unchanged. To qualify for a 10-year visa, investors must meet criteria such as owning a residential property, holding company shares, investing in Omani-listed companies, employing Omani nationals, or purchasing government bonds, each with a minimum investment of OR500,000. The 5-year visa requires half the investment amount.

The Omani government has partnered with Alam Al Hijrah for international marketing efforts, targeting over 60 countries to promote the program. This initiative aims to position Oman as a prime residency destination and a globally connected investment hub. Golden Visas require renewal every 3 years for the 10-year option and every 2 years for the 5-year option, with the investment maintained.

A "special" residency option is available for pensioners aged 60 and above, requiring an employment contract, a local bank account statement demonstrating a minimum monthly income, and proof of residence. Additionally, Oman is highlighting "Distinguished Companies" that excel in governance, efficiency, exports, and Omanisation, further signaling its commitment to both attracting foreign capital and supporting local businesses.
