Ras Al Khaimah is poised for significant expansion with the upcoming launch of a "mega master plan" by Marjan, the emirate's master developer. CEO Abdulla Rashed Al Abdouli announced the project, expected to be unveiled within the next few months, to accommodate the rapid growth in tourism and business sectors. This initiative addresses the increasing demand for residential and commercial properties, driven by a surging population and ambitious tourism targets.

The emirate faces a considerable supply-demand gap in its property market, with an estimated need for 45,000 residential units over the next five to seven years. To meet this demand, Marjan plans to launch multiple master plans, including RAK Central, to accommodate the growing population, projected to reach 650,000 by 2030. The focus will be on creating integrated communities that drive economic growth across various sectors, including tourism, business, hospitality, and healthcare.

RAK's development strategy is heavily influenced by its aggressive tourism expansion plan, aiming to attract over 3.5 million visitors by 2030. This growth will require over 16,000 hotel keys, creating a significant demand for housing. RAK Central, a major business destination, is expected to house over 6,000 professionals, further stimulating demand across multiple sectors.

Marjan positions RAK as a unique proposition for investors and residents, emphasizing its business-friendly environment, transparent legal framework, and ease of doing business. The CEO encourages investors and entrepreneurs to participate in the emirate's growth, highlighting opportunities in real estate, tourism, and various business ventures. Despite regional geopolitical tensions, the outlook for RAK remains optimistic, with a focus on attracting continued investment and growth.
