King’s College School Wimbledon will open its first regional campus on Abu Dhabi's Fahid Island in September 2028, following approvals. This K-12 school, developed by Aldar Education, aims to enhance Abu Dhabi's educational offerings and provide students with pathways to top global universities. The campus, spanning 50,000 square meters, will accommodate up to 2,200 students within the new luxury mixed-use destination.
This marks the second major British school announced for Abu Dhabi recently, following Taaleem's confirmation of a Harrow school location. Fahid Island, unveiled as Abu Dhabi's latest luxury destination, will also feature hotels and residential units, with one-bedroom apartments starting from over Dh3 million. Aldar plans to introduce additional educational institutions in future phases.
Aldar Education's network, including schools on Yas Island, Khalifa City, and Saadiyat Island, will expand, offering over 4,000 new student places by the 2028-29 academic year. Sahar Cooper, CEO of Aldar Education, highlighted King’s College School’s holistic approach to education, which will support Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a regional hub for educational excellence.
