Hotel occupancy rates are soaring to 90% as families and travelers seek beach escapes, particularly during the UAE National Day and festive season. Resorts like Al Zorah Beach are experiencing high demand, with beachfront villas and private pools being highly sought after. Domestic travelers are leading the charge, opting for staycations to avoid airport hassles, while international visitors from the GCC, Russia, and Europe are also eager to enjoy the early winter sun.
Several hotels are offering deals under Dh1,000, including Rove La Mer Beach, Ibis Dubai One Central, Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah, Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, and Royal M Hotel by Gewan. The Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, celebrating its 25th anniversary, anticipates high occupancy driven by returning and new guests. Booking trends show a shorter window, with many guests waiting for holiday announcements, and a rise in mobile-first bookings.
This surge in staycations mirrors a broader boom in Dubai's hospitality sector. In the first half of 2025, Dubai welcomed 9.9 million international visitors, leading to an 81.4% hotel occupancy rate and an average daily rate of around Dh754. The city's room inventory has expanded, with further additions planned. Other emirates like Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah are also experiencing growth, driven by tourism and events.
Dubai remains the primary destination for festive staycations due to its attractions and connectivity. With DXB handling a significant number of passengers, the city continues to attract both residents and international visitors. Hoteliers advise that sub-Dh1,000 deals are still available, but availability is limited, and last-minute bookers may find prime beachfront spots fully booked.
