UAE creatives now have until June 26, 2025, to submit their video projections for a chance to showcase their work on the Burj Khalifa. Emaar extended the deadline for its Projection Design Competition, which was initially set to close on May 26, due to high interest. The competition welcomes artists, animators, and motion designers from across the UAE to submit a three-minute video or animation that reflects Dubai's creative and innovative spirit.

The winning submission will be displayed on the world's tallest building and will receive a Dh100,000 cash prize. This competition provides a platform for local talent to gain global exposure by displaying their work on a world-renowned landmark. The Burj Khalifa has previously featured digital art, but public competitions of this nature are uncommon.

Submissions must meet specific projection-mapping standards to ensure compatibility with the tower's façade. Artists are encouraged to review the full specifications at www.burjkhalifa.ae/open-call before submitting their concept and file to opencall@emaar.ae. The extension aims to provide more artists, both emerging and established, with a fair opportunity to participate.

Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and how well the design captures Dubai's evolving identity. This represents a unique opportunity for UAE-based creatives to leave their mark on a global icon and inspire millions.
