Centralized Digital Platform for Federal Real Estate

The UAE Ministry of Finance has launched a new digital platform, the Federal Government Real Estate Assets Platform, to centralize and manage data on federal government real estate. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize public asset management and strengthen governance, fulfilling the requirements of Federal Decree-Law No. 35 of 2023 on Union-Owned Properties. The platform will serve as a unified electronic registry for all federally owned real estate, streamlining property data documentation, updates, and classification.

The platform aims to enhance regulation, governance, and oversight of federal real estate. It supports the government's digital transformation by automating asset-related processes and improving data quality for policy and planning. Federal entities can register and update property information, manage leasable spaces, and submit real estate-related requests through automated workflows, including inspections, transfers, sales, demolitions, and property changes. The system integrates with other federal systems to maintain up-to-date asset records and generate reports for evidence-based decision-making.

The platform unifies real estate data across federal bodies and links it to financial and operational procedures, improving planning, expenditure control, and transparency. It records both financial and non-financial data, including property values, depreciation, operating costs, location, condition, and technical specifications, along with related digital documents. A four-tier classification structure standardizes how federal real estate is recorded, enabling faster information retrieval.

This digital framework replaces paper-based procedures, supporting real-time tracking, automated approvals, and structured lease management. The platform is intended to improve the efficiency of federal real estate use, strengthen governance, and support long-term planning of government-owned property.
