Building Quality in Abu Dhabi: Enhanced Material Testing

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) has expanded its Construction Materials Testing Laboratory with two new services: Polymer Content Testing and Steel Wire Testing. This initiative supports Abu Dhabi's commitment to high-quality construction, sustainable development, and a knowledge-based economy, especially crucial given the ongoing large-scale projects across the Emirate.

The Polymer Content Testing service offers precise analysis of plastic materials, providing a local alternative to sending samples overseas. This reduces costs and turnaround times for businesses and government entities while enhancing local testing capabilities. The Steel Wire Testing service evaluates the mechanical properties of steel wires, such as tensile strength and hardness, ensuring compliance with international standards.

These new services are designed to support contractors and engineering consultancies in delivering projects of the highest quality and reliability. QCC aims to boost investor confidence, attract investment, and contribute to building smart, sustainable cities with robust infrastructure.

Eng. Abdullah Hassan Al Muaini, Executive Director of the Central Testing Laboratory Services Sector at QCC, emphasized the council's shift from a traditional lab to a strategic partner. QCC is committed to providing precise testing services that meet global standards, enhancing Abu Dhabi's economic competitiveness, and supporting its vision for a sustainable future. QCC will continue to invest in advanced technologies and expand its services to remain a key partner in achieving Abu Dhabi’s strategic objectives.
